About Us

The United People’s Party is a political party that was launched on 15th October 2009.

The United People’s Party stands for the promotion of equality, unity, patriotism, a strong national industry, green politics, a revitalised Armed Forces, a well-funded public sector, a strong, responsible and compassionate government and meaningful international co-operation - all of which is aimed at creating national unity, security and prosperity.

The Party was founded by Andrew Stott, the Leader of the United People’s Party, in early 2009 as a result of his disillusionment with mainstream politics and a hatred of political extremism. This view was shared by an increasing number of onlookers who, being disgusted with the MP’s expenses scandal and horrified at the election of 2 BNP MEP’s, desperately searched for a credible alternative.

Though the Party was a party in name only and existed solely as a facebook group, its popularity began to grow. Before long, the Party’s facebook group had well over 2000 members and it was at this time that Andrew officially registered the United People’s Party as a legitimate political party in October 2009.

The Party quickly became active in local politics with the winning of its first Councillor mere weeks after it was registered with the co-option of the Leader, Andrew Stott, onto the Enborne Parish Council. This was followed by the additional co-option of another Party member onto the Enborne Parish Council a few months later. The Party went on to stand in the 2011 Local Elections and won 2 seats on the Bucklebury and Milton Parish Councils.

We look forward to new opportunities to make electoral gains in the future and will be sure to report on all such activity.

The management and structure of the Party is based on strong leadership which, along with highly involved, active and loyal Party Officers and members, will seek to challenge the weak, politically correct and corrupt mainstream parties, as well as standing in firm opposition to Britain’s numerous extremist groups, and change Britain for the better.

Membership figures and financial income is on the rise. Though still modest in size, we are growing and are moving in the right direction, overtaking better established, far older parties in size, strength and influence.

Its humble beginning as a tiny and almost completely unnoticed facebook group is now but a distant memory, as this well-established and active political party gears up and readies itself for future successes.

We are ready to plant our banner and make our stand.
